My best friend loves Pacman, so I decided to make this for him. It started out as an idea to have Pacman going in a straight line, eating the letters that would spell out "Happy Birthday David". Obviously, things got a bit more complex than that.
I knew I wanted the setup to be flat on the ground, so I had to figure out how to suspend my camera in air to take the shots. With the help of a dresser, clipboard, and ruler; I figured it out.
The camera that I'm using isn't too great, so I had focus issues all throughout the film. Also, the background is suppose to be jet black, but my camera decided it should be more of a dark grey. I wish the words at the end weren't so jumpy, but the only way I could put words in the frames was to do it through Paint, which meant I was just guessing that they were in about the same place for each frame.
This is the first time I've used sound clips. I had to do a lot of splicing and work to get the timing right, but it was a good experience and I think the music turned out quite well.
